The full picture

Lifetime Upgrades is bundled into the current one-time Personal price — the checkout itemises it at no extra cost — but eM Client also sells it separately "from 70,00 €" for existing licences that went without it, so if you ever bought a one-time licence that excluded it you are locked to your major version until you pay. VIP Support covers the first year of a one-time licence and then needs extending. AI features are an add-on on the one-time plan and included on the subscription, and eM Client notes that future features depending on third-party services may be limited on one-time plans. The free tier is capped at two accounts and is non-commercial. If a subscription lapses the app drops to offline mode; one-time licences do not expire. The design is Windows-first and cross-platform, so it will not feel Mac-native.

What it looks like

What you’re buying

eM Client is a full desktop mail client that also carries calendar, contacts, tasks and chat — roughly what Outlook was before it became a web page. IMAP, Gmail, Exchange and iCloud all work properly, PGP and S/MIME are built in, and the features other mail apps put behind a monthly tier (snooze, watch for reply, send later, translation, signature and snippet libraries) come with the licence.

Buy Personal once, at 39,95 €, and Lifetime Upgrades comes with it — the checkout lists it as an included line item at no extra charge, which means the licence stays valid for future major versions and not just the one you installed. That is rare in mail software and it is the reason this entry exists. There is also a 29,95 € yearly subscription; the one-time licence is the better deal, and it covers three devices.

It is a Windows-first application that runs on macOS, so it will not feel like Mail.app and the density puts some people off inside five minutes. If Mac-native design matters more to you than feature count, Mimestream is the calmer choice. Prices are set in euros, so check your own total at checkout.

Under "One-time payment", Personal is 39,95 € "For single user with up to 3 devices", with Lifetime Upgrades listed on that card as an included feature rather than a paid extra. The alternative is a Personal 1-year subscription at 29,95 €. Business is licensed per device: 54,95 € per device as a one-time payment, or 39,95 € per device for a 1-year subscription. The free tier is 0 €, registration required, personal non-commercial use only. Android and iOS apps need no licence. Checkout converts to other currencies at the rate of the day, so a USD figure will drift.
