Swish

Swish moves window management onto the trackpad. Two fingers on a title bar and a swipe left gives you the left half; swipe again for a third. Pinch in to maximise, pinch out to restore, swipe down to minimise. After about a week the gestures become muscle memory, and reaching for a keyboard shortcut starts to feel like a detour.

It goes past snapping, too. The same gesture surface merges two windows into tabs, hides or quits an app from its Dock icon, and lets you set different snap targets per display. Christian Renninger has kept the app narrow and fast rather than growing it into a second BetterTouchTool, which is why it stays easy to explain.

$16 buys it outright for two Macs at a time, after a fourteen-day trial. The developer's page offers a Setapp membership as the alternative and still quotes $9.99 a month for it; Setapp now starts at $14.99, so the arithmetic favours buying even more than that page suggests.

The disqualifier is obvious but easy to forget when ordering: you need a trackpad. On a desktop Mac driven by a mouse, nearly everything here is out of reach, and Rectangle or Magnet is the better spend. There is also heavy overlap with BetterTouchTool — if you already own that and have gestures configured, you are buying polish rather than capability.
